Which Skoda electric cars are coming soon?
Skoda will unveil a facelifted Enyaq in the summer of 2025, with the updated version boasting a fresh look, the latest tech and more range. In 2026, this will be joined by the Epiq, which will slot in below the Elroq, both in terms of size and price. There are also rumours of an even smaller Skoda electric car with a sub-£20,000 price tag.
We’re also expecting to see an electric estate car with a Skoda badge, plus a seven-seat SUV based on the Vision 7S concept of 2022.
What is Skoda’s electric car brand called?
Skoda’s electric car brand was called iV, but this suffix was dropped in 2024. You will find the name attached to some used cars, including the Enyaq iV and Citigo-e iV.
Today, Skoda uses letters for its different ranges. For example, its SUVs start with the letter ‘K’ and end with the letter ‘q’, namely the Kamiq, Karoq and Kamiq. Its electric cars start with the letter ‘E’, namely the Elroq, Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe.

What is the warranty on a Skoda electric car battery?
Skoda electric car batteries are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The rest of the car comes under the company’s standard three-year/60,000-mile warranty.

You can test drive and buy a new Skoda electric car from your nearest Skoda dealer.
How much do Skoda electric cars cost?
With prices starting from £31,500, the Elroq is the most affordable Skoda electric car. This is for the SE trim level with a 55kWh battery. The most expensive Elroq is the SportLine with an 82kWh battery, which will set you back £41,600.
Enyaq prices range from £39,000 to £48,750, while the Enyaq Coupe is more expensive at £46,200 to £50,650.

What type of plug do Skoda EVs use?
Skoda electric cars use a CCS (Combo Rapid Charge) and seven-pin Type 2 plug.
What charging equipment comes as standard with a Skoda electric car?
Skoda electric cars come with a six-metre Mode 3 charging cable, with a handy storage net for carrying it in the boot. A Mode 2 charging cable is available for £235, while other accessories include a charging cable case, cable cleaner and charging port cover.
Can Skoda electric cars use rapid chargers?
Yes, all Skoda electric cars can use rapid chargers, although the maximum charging speed will vary depending on the model. For example, the Enyaq launched with 50kW rapid charging and the option of 100kW. But the latest Enyaq models range from 120kW to 175kW.
Can Skoda electric cars use Ionity chargers?
Yes, all Skoda electric cars can use the Ionity ultra-rapid chargers. Indeed, the Europe-wide network was established in part by the Volkswagen Group (which owns Skoda).

Where is the charging point located on a Skoda electric car?
The charging point on all Skoda electric cars is located on the driver’s side rear wing, above the rear wheel, where you’d expect to find the filler cap on a petrol or diesel car.
Which charge partner does Skoda work with?
Skoda works with Ohme and OVO Energy to deliver a range of charging solutions, both at home and on the move.
What is Skoda’s wallbox called?
There isn’t a specific name for the Skoda wallbox.
What wallbox options does Skoda offer?
Skoda recommends the use of Ohme’s home chargers, and OVO Energy as a green energy provider. There are two wallboxes available through Skoda dealers: Ohme Home Pro for 7kW tethered charging and the Ohme ePod for 7kW untethered home charging.

Skoda’s Powerpass card can be used at around 400,000 public charging points across the UK and Europe. It simplifies the charging experience by offering a single account and RFID card to use with most of the public charging providers.
Do Skoda electric cars have an on-board DC charger?
All Skoda electric cars are fitted with an 11kW on-board charger.
What is the maximum charging speed of a Skoda electric car?
The maximum charging speed of a Skoda electric car depends on the model and battery size. For example, the Elroq 50 and 60 support charging speeds of 145kW and 165kW respectively, while the Elroq 85 offers DC charging at up to 175kW.
Most versions of the Enyaq peak at 175kW, although the entry-level Enyaq 60 maxes out at 165kW. Curiously, the Enyaq Coupe has a maximum charging speed of 135kW.

What is the Skoda electric car smartphone app called?
Skoda’s smartphone app is called MySkoda. Owners of Skoda electric cars can use the app to control remote charging, set the temperature of the climate control for when you access the car, and manage the charging experience via the Powerpass service.

How many Skoda dealers are there and do they offer free charging for owners?
There are around 130 Skoda dealers in the UK, none of whom offer free charging for owners.
Does Skoda sat-nav show charging point locations and availability?
Yes, the Powerpass map allows you to search and filter EV charging stations, check availability of chargers and get route guidance to the nearest charging station.
